Meet Tenor Craig Hendry
Craig, or "Chendry," as he is affectionately known by the others, first joined The Ten Tenors back in August 2000 as the group's keyboard player and backing programmer. His previous experience in this area included accompanying various choirs, playing in numerous jazz ensembles and musical theatre orchestras and creating demo tracks in his home studio.
But it was Chendry's vocal background that would eventually come to the forefront. In January 2003, he joined the "front line" of The Ten Tenors. Chendry's main experience was forged in the field of vocal jazz, having both participated and performed in jazz festivals and master classes in Australia and Asia with highlights including the 1998 Singapore Fringe Festival, and singing with Michael Crawford on his Australian tour.
Chendry enjoys reading and exercising and continues his involvement in the creation of the group's orchestrations, arrangements and original material.
