Boston, Mass. (February 24, 2005) APT Worldwide, the international sales division of U.S. public television distributor American Public Television, has secured international representation rights for the eclectic music performance series MHz PRESENTS (50x30). Taped before a live audience at the MHz Networks studio outside of Washington, D.C., MHZ PRESENTS features intimate performances from artists on the cutting-edge of the music scene.
MHz PRESENTS plays host to some of the most innovative names in the music industry, including; Shelby Lynne, Crash Test Dummies, John Waite, The Chieftains, Cowboy Junkies and Suzanne Vega. The series also showcases up-and-coming artists on the verge of breaking it big, such as The Young Dubliners, Juniper Lane, Kathleen Edwards, Kim Richey, and New Found Glory.
"The series' mix of performance and interview segments offers an intriguing glimpse into both the creative process and the music business itself," says Judy Barlow, APT's vice president of business development. "Whether they're Grammy winners or rising stars, each of these artists has had to follow their own unique paths to success. And their music reflects these experiences."
A recipient of a 2002 Emmy Award for outstanding audio, MHz PRESENTS is currently distributed to more than 70 million households in the United States by American Public Television, and is in its fourth season.
