Smart Travels Wins CINE Golden Eagle Award

Recently, Smart Travels #506: "Shanghai" received a CINE Golden Eagle Award for excellence in production. 

"Shanghai" was written and produced by Susan McNally and edited by David Ris. It was photographed by Tom Spear and hosted and narrated by Rudy Maxa.  Original music was provided by Denny Gore.  All five Smart Travels series are produced by Small World Productions of Seattle.  KCTS/Seattle is a co-producer and the presenting station.  Smart Travels is distributed nationally by American Public Television Exchange, and APT Worldwide represents the series internationally.  Expedia, Inc. is the major corporate supporter of Smart Travels on public television. 

This is the sixth CINE Golden Eagle Award for Smart Travels.  The series has also won six Silver Telly Awards, two Emmy Awards, a Columbus Film Festival Award, a New York Film Festival Finalist Award, two Crystal Communicator Awards, and the Golden Pen Grand Prix Award from the government of Croatia.
